Better means built to last, low carbon, healthy and low waste. Attainable means driving down what a home costs to build and to own, and building enough of them to reach more people. The goals stay fixed; the methods change as better ones prove out.
Today every home starts from a vetted kit of parts: prefabricated framing components, continuous exterior insulation with a verified air barrier, all-electric systems with solar included, and materials screened against the ILFI Red List.
We build with lean construction. The people who do the work plan it, and each week every trade commits to the work it can finish. Every issue closes with a root cause, and each home makes the catalogue, the estimate and the schedule better for the next one.
Design and construction happen in one studio, so the team that draws the house is the team that builds it. We are building toward employee ownership, so the people who build the homes share in the company that builds them.

Attainable at scale
Drive down what a well-built home costs to build and to own. Today: a plan library and a vetted kit of parts, with each project improving the catalogue and the estimate for the next.
Built to last
Materials chosen for how they perform at year 10, 30 and 50. Continuous exterior insulation with a verified air barrier. A published 10/10/5/2 warranty.
Low carbon
Prefabricated framing and less waste. All-electric with solar included, for zero operational carbon. For catalogue products that publish an EPD, we record their embodied carbon and use it when we choose between products.
Healthy
An ERV with high-efficiency filtration, no combustion indoors, whole-home water filtration, low-VOC finishes, and materials screened against the ILFI Red List.
Low waste
Prefabricated framing cut to the model and standard dimensions across the kit of parts, so less material is bought, cut and hauled away.

Light that orients you through the day, materials that read as what they are, and proportions set by how you rest, work and gather. We remove what distracts, so what remains is the house.
Decisions Made
The system makes the first thousand decisions.
We work from a library of materials, assemblies and details tested on our own projects. Every product in it is screened for health, performance and durability, and every assembly has been built. You choose from that library, so the research and the risk are already done.
Built to Matter
Every specification carries the data.
We screen the products in our system against the ILFI Red List and record the embodied carbon of those that publish an EPD. The specification target is a product that carries a Declare label of Red List Free or Red List Approved; not every product meets it yet. We design for durability and specify for health, so the house holds up for decades.
