How long does the entire process take for R House from start to finish?
Our process is designed to be efficient and streamlined. Here's a breakdown:
- Feasibility: We evaluate the site for compatibility with R House models.
- Design: You can instantly select plans and finishes from our available palette.
- Permitting (including documentation) and Construction: As you are our first customer, we cannot offer you the speed benefits of future projects. As such, we'll handle the permitting at no charge. However, once the design selections are finalized, it typically takes around 8 months. Expect construction to take approximately 12 months, which is notably faster than the 18-month timeline for a typical single-family home.

How many options do we have regarding the design of R House?
You have flexibility in choosing your ideal layout:
- For your home, we offer two plan options.
- Additionally, there are two plan options available for the optional Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU).
- You can mix and match between the main home and ADU plans or opt for only the main home design.
You also have a collection of well-designed options ranging from plan configuration to exterior cladding to interior finishes, fixtures, and accessories.

Are there landscaping options available for R House properties?
Yes, R House offers six landscaping packages: Urban Gardener, California Native, Woodland, Prairie, Desert, and Japanese Zen Garden.

How many decisions do we need to make throughout the process?
We've simplified the decision-making process for you. Once you have your lot, the major decisions revolve around:
- Choosing your preferred home plan. (from 2 options)
- Choosing the ADU plan, if desired. (from 2 options)
- Choose your finish style /palette. (from 4 options)
- Select any upgrades or add-ons that you would like to include.
- You'll have the option to pick your landscaping palette later.

What is the total cost involved in building R House?
he total construction cost is $1.8 million, covering various aspects such as utility installation, labor, materials, demolition, site grading, and landscaping. Your project budget should also encompass direct costs to other parties, such as permitting and impact fees to the city, utility initiation hookup fees, loan initiation fees, and realtor fees.
